The roar of the river provides a deceptive calmness, the perfect ambiance for your walk among the many platforms that offer incredible views. Riverside Boardwalk
Travel by elevator down 70 metres to reach the base of the Niagara Gorge and impressive quarter-mile of boardwalk that runs along the shoreline of the Niagara River. Prepare to be immediately immersed in the soothing roar of North America’s largest series of standing waves the moment you step out from the exit tunnel!
Make your way down the riverside boardwalk as you take in the crashing waves and enjoy an excellent view of the 410-million-year-old rock layers of the Niagara Gorge.
Discover some of nature’s most beautiful and mysterious creations at the Niagara Glen. Located deep in the Niagara Gorge, stairways lead to four kilometres (2.5 miles) of rugged hiking paths that wind through this pristine pocket of Carolinian Forest, past prehistoric geological formations, wild flora and fauna. The Niagara Glen overlooks the rapid waters of the Niagara River and the natural phenomenon that is the Niagara River Whirlpool.
